Overview

What is Cloud Disk?

A cloud disk is a highly available, highly reliable, low-cost, and customizable block storage device. It can be used as an independent and expandable disk of a cloud server, providing efficient and reliable storage capabilities for cloud server instances.

Product Features

Cloud disks provide a variety of persistent storage devices. Users can store files, build databases, etc. on the hard disks by themselves.

Attach and Detach: Cloud disks support elastic attach and detach. Multiple cloud disks can be attached to a cloud server to build a large - capacity file system.
Create Backup: Cloud disks support creating snapshots and snapshot rollback, which can backup and restore critical data in a timely manner. It also supports creating hard disks using snapshots to quickly implement business deployment.

Create one or more block storage disks through the purchase page.

Directions

Log in.
In the left navigation tree, select "Disk" to jump to the disk list page. Then continue to click "New".

Jump to the cloud disk purchase page. Complete the following configuration operations according to the prompt information and parameter descriptions on the page. Then click "Next: Confirm Order".

Parameter	Description
Region	• Region: It is recommended to select the region closest to your customers, which can reduce access latency and increase access speed.• Availability Zone: If you need to purchase multiple cloud disks, it is recommended to select different availability zones to achieve disaster recovery.
Whether to Attach	When purchasing a cloud disk, you can choose whether to attach it directly to specific cloud resources. The default is no.
Disk Name	The name of the cloud disk. By default, the instance name is automatically generated based on the product name, and you can modify it yourself.• Custom: User-defined, indicating the name of the cloud disk to be created.• Auto-generated: If not modified, the system will generate it automatically. For multiple disks, the disk names will have incrementing identifiers based on this.
Type	Different regions will affect the types of cloud disks available for selection. Please make a selection according to the actual page prompts.
Size	The optional hard disk capacity ranges from 100 GiB to 16384 GiB, and the default is 100 GiB.
Quantity	The number of disks to be purchased this time.

Jump to the cloud disk order confirmation page. On this page, you need to check the information of the purchased cloud disk, understand the details of each configuration and the billing details. After confirming that the information is accurate, click "Submit Order".
